Who can do this course
This course is suitable for entry-level production plannaing and manufacturing business users who intend to pursue an SAP Associate Certification in SAP S/4HANA PP. This course is also suitable for new university and college graduates with no experience in SAP as long as they meet the functional requirement to attend this course.
What does it covers
This course covers the overview of the fundamental concepts and procedures of production planning within SAP S/4HANA.This course will give you an overview of supply chain planning as it could be implemented with SAP S/4HANA. This will involve understanding the different steps in the process and how they are interrelated. You learn how production orders are used, and which main system setting must be made for production order execution.
The participants will also gain an overview of the functionalities within the S/4HANA Enterprise Management Manufacturing solution.
Through lectures and numerous exercises you will receive extensive practice working through many business transactions leading to increased confidence in being able to apply what you have learned, in your work environment.
After course completion, you will be able to:
- Explain the fundamental concepts and procedures of production planning within SAP ERP.
- Explain the manufacturing methods supported by ERP.
- Configure, and to apply the concepts of demand management and material requirements planning for non-configurable materials that are provided by SAP ECC 6.0 - Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Explain how production orders are used, and which main system setting must be made for production order execution.
- Articulate the basics of S/4HANA manufacturing.
- Describe materials requirement planning in S/4HANA.
- Outline manufacturing execution processes in S/4HANA.
- Explain the organizational structures and basic data in Manufacturing and Planning
- Describe the manufacturing functions that support materials and bills of materials
- Describe the manufacturing functions that support work centers and routings
- Participate in configuration decisions that ensure that SAP supports company requirements
- Describe some of the advanced modeling features in manufacturing and planning using Bills of Materials and Task lists.
